Energy. Does anyone really know what energy is? Or where energy comes from? Adamus has been focusing on the subject of energy this past year, but what is energy?

The basic scientific description of energy is “a force or stored (potential) force.” Sorry, but that doesn’t mean much to me. Another description of energy is “a movement or potential to move.” But that only tells me what energy does, not what it is. Digging a little deeper I found that energy is always “being carried by something.” You mean like by Sherpas in the Himalayans? They carry the energy of the planet around on the backs? Or maybe the wires in my walls that make this computer work? The more I researched energy the more frustrated I became. What the heck IS energy??

Somewhere in my research I read that, according to one physicist, energy comes from a “quantum vacuum fluctuation.” Huh? You mean like my Dyson vacuum cleaner goes wild and actually creates energy? I think not! Then I learned that Aristotle was the first to use the term “energy” back in about the 4th century BC. I wonder if Aristotle knew Tobias? Anyway, he used the word to describe potential, such as the potential to be weak or strong. Later on, energy came to be known as “work” or “force” but in an everyday sense rather than a scientific sense. It wasn’t until the early 1800’s that Thomas Young began talking about energy in terms of physics. Albert Einstein brought energy to the forefront in the early 20th century with his classic formula, E = mc2. So it’s only been in the last 200 years that humans have been conscious of energy, but even today we still don’t really know what it is.

I know what energy does, but I’m still trying to understand what it is, and where it comes from. After a few hours of research on the Internet I realized that nobody knows. I kept getting definitions like this: Energy is the quantitative property that must be transferred to an object in order to perform work on, or to heat, the object. Energy is a conserved quantity; the law of conservation of energy states that energy can be converted in form, but not created or destroyed. With answers like this it’s no wonder that children consume too much sugar, and that I need a glass of wine at night. What the hell is energy, and where does it come from?? And why do kids seem to have so much more of it?

I’ve come to the conclusion that nobody knows. Except Adamus, you and me.

In the past year, Adamus has presented revolutionary new insights about energy. He says energy comes from the passion of the I Am, and that ultimately energy is really communication. It’s the communication of joy of the I Am, the Song of the Soul. This pure state of energy gets compressed to a form of light, then force, and we eventually use it to drive automobiles, power motors and light our homes. Whether you’re mowing your lawn, walking through a forest, or wheeling a cart through the grocery store, you’re actually swimming in a sea of communication. It’s the vis viva (Latin for “living force”) but according to Professor A, it’s not a force and it doesn’t have intelligence. It’s just the communication of the I Am.

Now I can look at nature, talk to another person, eat a fine meal or write an article for the Shaumbra Magazine with the understanding that it’s all just communication. It’s not trying to push me or pull me, it doesn’t care if I finish my article on time (which I did not), it’s not limited and I don’t need to rely on anyone or anything else for it.

We’re becoming true Energy Workers. But we’ve defined it in a bit different way. Instead of working for energy, we’re starting to let it work for us. Yep. You, me and Shaumbra around the world are shifting the entire understanding of energy, and how we use it. We’re the new Energy Workers, letting energy work for us. If you’re like me, this is the time you might need to stop and take a deep breath while considering the implications of that statement. While the rest of the planet gets up in the morning and works the entire day for energy, we’re going to let it work for us. If that doesn’t make your skin tingle with amazement I don’t know what will.

At a recent workshop at Villa Ahmyo in Kona, Adamus went off on a mini-rant about so-called energy workers. He noted that many New Age practitioners and therapists call themselves energy workers, but what do they know about energy? Without the basic understanding of the nature of consciousness and energy, the typical energy worker is simply “pushing” more old-style energy at their clients. It might provide temporary relief, but the client will generally go back to their old imbalances within a few days. And, he noted, why do they call themselves “energy workers” when they don’t have a clue about what it is or where it comes from? Not even the most esteemed scientists or physicists understand the origins of energy, so why do they think they do? Ah, it was classic Adamus. If you haven’t already figured it out, he has a low level of tolerance for makyo. (A note to Energy Workers: Please don’t send me nasty emails about this. Adamus said it, not me. Like you, I’m just an energy worker who is now coming to understand what it really means.)

I used to wish that I had more energy, but after the Professor’s lectures about energy I’m beginning to change my thinking. I actually don’t need any more energy, although a few extra hours of sleep sounds pretty good. I just need to let energy work for me. If I had more energy I’d simply use it to create more problems, at least according to Adamus. Hmmm. Let me think about that. If I had more energy I’d probably work longer hours, do more workshops, do more work around the ranch and Villa Ahmyo, and create more projects for the staff and me to work on. I’m starting to notice a pattern. Nearly every time I talk about energy I also talk about more work. Crazy!

I wonder how life will change with the new relationship with energy? What does it mean to have energy work for me? I have indeed noticed a few changes and I’m sure we’re all going to discover more. The level of synchronous events in my life has nearly doubled. Just about the time I’m thinking about someone they show up in my life. The other day I was thinking about a casual acquaintance I haven’t talked to in eight years. Two days later they called on the phone. It’s just one example of many synchronous activities I’ve recently experienced. Things just “work out” without me having to manage them. In another example, someone who I had relied on for a big project backed out. I was pretty frustrated because so much depended on this person, but within days someone else came along and proved to be significantly more capable for the job.

When Adamus says that “energy will work for us” he doesn’t mean it will make our breakfast, clean out our closets or write our magazine articles. But everything surrounding our day-to-day activities will align in a more graceful way. Our closets just won’t fill up with as much junk, therefore less need to clean them out. The ideas for articles will come much easier, therefore the writing will flow better. We might not need breakfast because the body is working more efficiently.

As we allow energy to work for us, everything just kind of “works out.” Projects come together easier. New opportunities just show up. The right people come at the right time. Our biology becomes more efficient. Even our cars seem to run better. All because we’re letting energy work for us.

Adamus is emphasizing our new relationship with energy because we’ve chosen to stay on the planet as embodied masters, therefore we need to shift from the old way of working for energy, to letting energy work for us. The next year or so will be about “energy discovery” as we find out how the new understanding of energy changes our lives. What I have personally discovered is that I’m going through “integration cycles” during this change-over process. Sometimes I need a lot of sleep, while other times I need much less than usual. At times my mind just doesn’t seem to work, and other times I have super-clarity. Sometimes I get highly irritable while other times I have the patience of Job. I’ve learned just to allow the process rather than to resist it. Sometimes I get my article in on time, other times I’m two days late. Such is life in the new “energy works for me” reality.
