Letting
go of old baggage and literally saying “Yes”
to yourself and Life
Dear
fellow travelers on the road of Life in the visible
world and the unseen realms of reality: thank you
for “tuning in” to the Shaumbra newsletter
and the wonderful New Energy which permeates it and
emanates from it and helps us to transcend the regular
limitations of a purely materialistic perspective
of life and consequently a very limited experience
of Life.
You
are surely familiar with the saying, “Let go,
let God.” Or with this insight: “When
we cannot solve a problem we may dissolve it, we may
disentangle us from it.”
“Oh,
if it would be that easy,” you might think now.
Yes, it can be that easy – if and when we are
willing to let go. Most people know about the healing
model of homeopathy: A small physical particle of
a healing agent is “diluted” in specific
repetitive processes until there is but one or two
molecules in a little bottle of medicine. And in so-called
high-potency homeopathy – C 200 or D 200 or
higher – no molecules at all are contained any
more. And still for many people and in many cases
it “works.”
I
would like to suggest a similar approach to letting
go. I came across this proposal in a wonderful book
by Alla Svirinskaya, a Russian healer who lives in
London (the book is now called “Your Secret
Laws of Power”). It is a form of symbolically
letting go of the burden and stress of a problem and
thereby gaining new mental and emotional space and
freedom and clarity.
I
adapted her method a bit and here it is:
Step
1: Decide on a problem you would like to let go of.
It can be a small or a medium problem. I don’t
advise you to pick a huge one at the beginning but
only later when you are more familiar with this symbolic
exercise.
Step
2: Take a balloon and slowly blow it up. With each
exhalation from your lungs into the balloon you symbolically
breathe out your problem, its stresses, residues,
blocks and so on, into the balloon.
Step
3: If you feel that you really have exhaled your problem
into the balloon and it would burst if you wouldn’t
stop now, then tie a knot at its base and hold it
in one hand. In the other hand you hold a needle.
Step
4: Only if and only when you are really, really ready
to let go of your problem – at least now and
at least for the short span of this symbolic exercise
– then allow yourself that your super-conscious
(or your un-conscious or sub-conscious, as you will)
brings both hands slowly together until the balloon
pops.
Step
5: Let the air and the earth absorb and transmute
the energies of your problem – they are able
to do that!
By
the way: If you absolutely insist in getting back
your cozy old problem because you feel too lonely
without it, then just go around the room and try to
inhale it back into you. Good luck.
One
more “By the way”: The word problem comes
from Greek, pro ballein. That means, “to
throw something somewhere respective to somebody”
So, a problem has been tossed to us – maybe
because we are the one who is best suited to deal
with it. Oh how sweet the consideration of problems
can be if one hovers above – and how bitter
when one is immersed. Albert Einstein said that a
problem can never be solved or changed of one remains
on the same level of where it comes from. So we should
find ways to other levels and dimensions. But that
is another story one day.
The Great Yes!
In
the middle of the last century a German librarian
and student of metaphysics by the name of K.O. Schmidt
wrote among his many books one with the title Das
große Ja – “The Great Yes.”
It deals with a general unspecific but wholehearted
acceptance, approval and affirmation of a person to
Life, to life, to everyday life and his or her own
Self, self and ego, and so forth. K.O. Schmidt had
found out that it not only behooves and befits us
but most of all it empowers us, heals us and inspires
us to say Yes!
The
American Gary Quinn, of Angel book fame with Glennyce
Eckersley and on his own, suggested recently in Zurich,
Switzerland, to say “Yes” out loud many,
many times.
Again,
this exercise may seem trivial, purely symbolic, even
childish to some. But I do implore you to try it out.
This is how I do it in my seminars:
Step
1: Stand up and find an easy, relaxed and self-empowering
stand and stance. Keep your eyes open or close them,
as you prefer. You may change in the course of the
exercise, too.
Step
2: Say “Yes” semi-audible – meaning
neither totally inaudible and only mentally, because
then it will not work as well on the psychosomatic
levels; but also not too loud because then the ego
will get too much involved to sense fine changes.
You do not and should not think of any joyful or sorrowful
event, neither of happy moments nor of fearful experiences.
The speaking of the “Yes” should happen
without any specific intention!
Step
3: Say “Yes” at 100 times. After about
the first 50 times think a few times “I say
Yes to myself” and “I say Yes to my Life”
and “I say Yes to Life.” Then resume the
regular “Yes” another 50 times.
Step
4: Register afterwards how you feel. Did you start
smiling? Do you feel lighter and better? Do you feel
a new energy, more ready to go on? What else?
Enjoy
and many Blessings!
In
the upcoming issue we will deal with the topics “What
Are Our Imprints?” - “What Will Heal Us?”
– “What Fulfills Us and the World?”
Thank
you for being who you are! Please continue
to discover the Power of Source within yourself and
to work with the New Energy in ever more masterly
ways.
And: Thank you Crimson Circle, Geoff
and Linda and staff and volunteers, for creating such
a beautiful virtual space of love, light and spirit
which translates into more love, light and spirit
in our own everyday lives.
