4
Four is the only number in the English language
for which the number of letters in its name are
equal to the number itself. This is also true in
several other languages, such as German, Afrikaans,
Dutch, and Flemish, as "vier."
Tobias
says “4” is the number of the New Energy.
Four is repeated throughout many of the Shouds and
channels over the years. The number four is also
significant in:
•
4 rules of mathematics: addition, subtraction, multiplication,
division.
• 4 Greek classical elements: fire, air, water,
earth.
• 4 seasons : spring, summer, autumn, winter.
• 4 parts of a day : night, morning, afternoon,
evening.
• 4 cardinal directions : north, south, east,
west.
• 4 Centers of Atlantis
• 4 Great Ancient Capitals of China
• 4 canonical Christian Gospels, attributed
to the Four Evangelists: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and
John
• 4 horsemen of the Apocalypse : war, famine,
pestilence, death.
• 4 suits of playing cards : hearts, diamonds,
clubs, spades.
• 4 nations of the United Kingdom: England,
Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland.
• 4 Noble Truths in the Buddhist religion.
• 4 estates : politics, administration, judiciary,
journalism. Especially in the expression "Fourth
Estate," which means journalism.
• 4 Corners is the only location in the United
States where four states come together at a single
point: Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, and Arizona.
• 4 Beatles were also known as the 'Fab Four':
John Lennon, Ringo Starr, George Harrison, and Paul
McCartney.
• Four is considered an unlucky number in
Chinese, Korean, and Japanese cultures because it
sounds like the word "death.” Due to
that, many numbered product lines skip the "four.”
Some buildings skip floor 4 or replace the number
with the letter "F," particularly in heavily
Asian areas.
40
40 hours to get the November Shoud onto the website
in text, audio and video versions! The monthly webcast
was held Saturday, November 1. By early Monday morning,
November 3, the text transcript, audio files and
video files for the Tobias channel were posted on
the website and ready for Shaumbra around the world
to enjoy. The team had to transcribe and proofread
the text, review and process the audio and video
files and load everything up to the website. Our
hats off to Gail Nuebe, Jean Tinder, John Kuderka
and Michelle MacHale for incredible work, and the
record-setting time!

Barak Obama became the 44th President of the United
States of America on November 4, 2008. He was declared
the projected winner at 11:00 PM Eastern Standard
Time. At 47 years old, Obama will be one of the
youngest presidents.
Male or Female?
You might not have known this, but a lot of non-living
objects are actually either male or female. Here
are some examples from a recent posting in Shaumbra
Comedy Club forum on the Crimson Circle Message
Board:
FREEZER
BAGS: They are male, because they hold everything
in, but you can see right through them.
PHOTOCOPIERS:
These are female, because once turned off; it takes
a while to warm them up again. They are an effective
reproductive device if the right buttons are pushed,
but can also wreak havoc if you push the wrong Buttons.
TIRES:
Tires are male, because they go bald easily and
are often over inflated
HOT
AIR BALLOONS: Also a male object, because to
get them to go anywhere, you have to light a fire
under their butt.
SPONGES:
These are female, because they are soft, squeezable
and retain water.
WEB
PAGES: Female, because they're constantly being
looked at and frequently getting hit on.
TRAINS:
Definitely male, because they always use the
same old lines for picking up people.
HOUR
GLASSES: Hour Glasses are female because, over
time, all the weight shifts to the bottom.
HAMMERS:
Male, because in the last 5000 years, they've hardly
changed at all, and are occasionally handy to have
around.
THE
REMOTE CONTROL: Female. You probably thought
it would be male, but consider this: It easily gives
a man pleasure, he'd be lost without it, and while
he doesn't always know which buttons to push, he
just keeps trying.
