A New Day

Dear Shaumbra,

I can't begin to understand, express or digest the emotions that I felt as I went to vote today.

My heart was POUNDING as I drove into the parking lot to vote. The Preamble of the Constitution (albeit a revised one - including all the world) kept playing over and over in my mind.

As I climbed the back stairs of an old court house I felt the heaviness of my ancestors as they climbed many court house stairs in this area - not to vote - but to be beaten/killed (as Sunday entertainment) or/and sold.

You see, Shaumbra, I can trace my roots back to the ships that landed on the Carolina coasts that brought my ancestors to this country as slaves. I've seen visions of myself as a runaway slave being chased by a white man on a horse. The ancestors of the white family that OWNED my family still live in this area - and we have the same surname because slaves took the surnames of the owners back then. It's an interesting experience when our paths cross...

One of Obama's adopted phrases is "We are the ones we've been waiting for" and I FELT that more so today than at any other time.

After voting I walked down those same steps - feeling the weight of the world lifted off my shoulders - it was difficult to hold back the tears.

A HANDSOME F-I-N-E gentleman met me at the bottom of the stairs and held the door opened for me and said “I LOVE YOU” so sweetly and softly. That has NEVER happened!!! But I felt the LOVE.

It has taken HUNDREDS of years for the U.S. to get to a point where, as Martin Luther King Jr. said, a man is judged by the content of his character and not the color of his skin.

I stopped by the store for some celebratory wine afterwards and EVERYONE looked and felt familiar to me - like family - it was an amazing experience.

Who knew voting could be so spiritual!

Reunion

My new Marriage Vows:

Dearly Beloved, we are gathered together here in the sign of God – and in the face of this company – to join together this Human and this Divine in holy matrimony, which is commended to be honorable among all men; and therefore – is not by any – to be entered into unadvisedly or lightly – but reverently, discreetly, advisedly and solemnly. Marriage is the union of Human and Divine in heart, body and mind. It is intended for their mutual joy – and for the help and comfort given one another in prosperity and adversity. But more importantly – it is a means through which a stable and loving environment may be attained.

We are here today – before God – because marriage is one of His most sacred wishes – to witness the joining in marriage of Human and Divine. This occasion marks the celebration of love and commitment with which this masculine and this feminine begin their life together. And now - He joins you together in one of the holiest bonds.

Do you Human, take Divine to be your partner – to live together in God’s ordinance – in the holy estate of matrimony? Will you love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health, for richer, for poorer, for better, for worse, in sadness and in joy, to cherish and continually bestow upon her your heart’s deepest devotion, forsaking all others, keep yourself only unto her as long as you both shall live?

Human: "I will."

Do you Divine take Human to be your partner – to live together in God’s ordinance – in the holy estate of matrimony? Will you love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health, for richer, for poorer, for better, for worse, in sadness and in joy, to cherish and continually bestow upon him your heart’s deepest devotion, forsaking all others, keep yourself only unto him as long as you both shall live?

Divine: "I will."

May you always share with each other the gifts of love – be one in heart and in mind – may you always create a home together that puts in your hearts – love, freedom and Joy.

In as much as Human and Divine have consented together in marriage before this company of friends and family and have pledged their faith – and declared their unity – they are now joined.

What – therefore – God has joined together – let no man put asunder.

And so it is.....

Being With Others

Dear Lothar,

I really recognize what you write [about relationships] and do feel it too. However....

I can intensely enjoy simple conversations with simple people. Tonight I had a falafel in a place where the cook was really enjoying my visit. Simply because he sensed I was different. He saw the sparkle in my eye and sparkled back.

Those simple moments make life so beautiful to me, and there are more. For instance when I meet people in my workshops again and they tell their amazing changes in life. Or when somebody cries simply because they allow themselves to be who they are. Or when I play guitar and my soul starts nurturing my human, sharing a story. Life is truly beautiful.

But... I do feel moments of what you feel too. I also have a relationship with an amazing woman and still sometimes want to be just by myself as well.

It is a natural movement inwards, coming fully back to you. Then there will be the next moment with whatever you choose. Know that you are not alone in this… and in a way you are.

Hearing Shaumbra

This is the first time I've heard Shaumbra speak. I've never been able to get to the chat room, so I've quit trying. This is perfect. The Heartbeat of Shaumbra is beyond words. It says to me that there are so many out there that have the feeling I have, the conclusions I get, the love that I share for life, mankind, earth, global closeness. It is beautiful, it is Shaumbra. We go through some tough times but it is beautiful... we are beautiful… I Am that I Am… and so Are You....Blessings my dear Family of Crimson Circle.
